My Music Monday!!! 01/09/2012
This week's My Music Monday features He is We singing "I Wouldn't Mind". This song was posted on their facebook last night and I thought it was beautiful.
The first song I heard by this band was "Happily Ever After" when I was with Jeremy and I have liked them ever since.
All of their songs are great relationship songs, either falling in love or falling out of love.

The Final Countdown....7 days and counting.
Well the countdown has begun. There are only 7 more days left until I am no longer in my twenties. It doesn't seem like I am going to be that old. I certainty don't look like I am about to be thirty. I don't have anything special planned for the big day, just dinner with the family and dancing in Nashville with the girls - well Sam anyways. I've ordered my pink, two layer cake, more than enough for the family to eat in over a week. I have some pink glow in the dark balloons and I would love to have 30 pink roses (but I would rather get them for a guy then have to buy them myself).
I've always loved my birthdays and this year will be no exception. People say as you get older that birthdays no longer matter but I think I will always love them. It is the one day of the year I can make everything all about me and not feel conceited :-).
I do share my birthday with a few people I know. I've known Mr.Anderson since I was a little girl from church. We usually send birthday cards to each other every year. There is Tad that I met on my trip to France. We are going to meet at Mimi's Cafe for a birthday lunch this year. I am looking forward to that. And of course there is the famous Howard Stern. He is a great interviewer, wish he would give me a job! That would be the best birthday present of all.

My Music Monday!!! 01/02/2012
New Music Monday had now changed to My Music Monday!
I love Rachael Yamagata. She has an amazing voice and this is an amazing song. Most breakup songs are slow and sad but "Even If I Don't"one is fast and cute. I mean what music video wouldn't be cute that had a tiger and a rabbit as a couple. My favorite lyric is "I never understood my heart." Give this song a listen and then check out her new album, Happenstance.

Welcome to 2012
With the new year come new ideas. Ideas about what your life will be like for you, how you can change to make it better in the new year. We all make resolutions, even if we say we didn't, in our mind there are always tiny thoughts that you say to yourself. "I will lose weight." "I will be happier." For me, I am not making resolutions, I am making promises. Because its harder to break a promise than it is a resolution. These are my promises:
My 2012 Promises
I promise to find a career that I can be proud of and enjoy.
I promise to save enough money to get my own place.
I promise to put aside as much money as I can afford for rainy days.
I promise to erase as much of my debt as I possibly can.
I promise to be happier with myself.
I promise to be prettier on the outside as well as the inside.
I promise to hang out with my friends more.
I promise to wake up and walk/run every day that I can so I can be a healthier weight in 2013.
I promise write more. It is what I want to do with my life after all.
I promise to read more.
I promise to make 2012 my year. After all, 12 is my lucky and favorite number.
In just 12 days after the new year I will be turning thirty and I promise to make the 30s the best years of my life.
